Parent Council


For those of you who are new to the idea of a Parent Council, it is a small group of parents, who informally meet with the head teacher. The meetings are at school during the day every half term. School staff and Governors can also be invited to attend.  The Parent Council allows parents to have an input in school decision-making, and enables school staff to keep parents informed about the life of the school. We discuss any items that affect our school, which will make a positive improvement.

The main functions of your Parent Council are to:

> Support the school in its work with pupils and parents

> Represent the views of parents

> Promote contact and communication between the school, parents, pupils and the community

The Parent Council works in a similar way to our school council. Parents are invited to put themselves forward to represent a year group in school.

Our parent council started in December 2016.
