The admission arrangements are in accordance with the Education Authority's policy as set out in the booklet entitled "Primary Education in Essex” (link below).
For admission to Barnes Farm Infant School in the academic year 2018/19 applications must be received by 15 January 2018.
You will be able to make your application online from 13 November 2017.
All children who have their fifth birthday between 01.09.18 – 31.08.19 will be invited to start full time education in September 2018.

There is no guarantee of a place for children living in the priority admission area. In the event of over-subscription places will be allocated using the following criteria in the order given:-
- Looked After Children and previously looked after children
- Children living in the priority admissions area with a sibling′ attending the school;
- Children living in the priority admissions area with a sibling′ attending the partner junior school;
- Other children living in the priority admission area;
- Remaining applications.
In the event of over-subscription within any of the above criteria, priority will be determined by the Local Authority (Planning and Admissions) by straight line distance from home to school, those living closest being given the highest priority.
Exceptional circumstances may override the above.
