I am a working mum and currently work for an insurance broker in the HR department as an HR Analyst.
I have two children. My daughter attends Barnes Farm Infant school and my son will hopefully be starting I September 2017.
I have lived in Chelmer Village since the age of 12 and am therefore familiar with the local community. I grew up with many friends who attended the Barns Farm Infant School. They have all become extremely successful in their careers. I believe that the education they received from such a young age had a big part to play in this.
So why did I volunteer to be school governor in September 2015?
I believe that the future of our children is extremely important and having the right influences at a young age can help to build successful futures for all pupils.
I believe that my skill set is helping shape the direction the School is taking and most importantly I am proud to part of the Barnes Farm Infant School Governing Body, where committed staff and volunteers work together to ensure that children are at the heart of everything that we do.
Our Governors strive to provide the best possible education for all of our pupils. We support staff in ensuring we have a safe, welcoming and engaging place to learn and inspire to build our children’s futures.
