Badger Class - Reception

This week in Badger Class

This week we rescued the dolphin. We worked in our teams to carefully plan how to move the dolphin safely without putting it in any more danger. We then put our plans in place and successfully moved the dolphin back into the water. Gran was very grateful for our help, and we are pleased to see the dolphin safely back where it belongs. I wonder who will need our help next?

Literacy

This week we have been continuing our independent writing and have been reflecting on how much progress we have made. We have been using our phonic knowledge to spell words and write simple sentences. We have also been comparing sea and land animals for our  under the sea topic.

Maths Mastery

This week during our Mathematics learning we have been focusing on addition and subtraction. We have been working on using different manipulates to add and subtract numbers in order to find the total. We have also been working on using full sentences to explain our reasoning and have been telling addition and subtraction stories.

Home Learning

The Home Learning for this week is on your Tapestry accounts.

Please enjoy reading your Big Cat books with your family over the weekend. Please write about your child's reading in their book so this read will be counted for our reading competition.

Well done to those children who have received another certificate this week.
