Covid19 Remote Home Learning and Support

Please use the tabs for Remote Learning Menus and support.

Archive September 2020

The Government have announced that children in all year groups should return to school in September 2020.

If your child is well but isolating due to self-isolation or quarantine, we will set home learning for them to complete during this time.  This will be uploaded to your child's Tapestry account and emailed to your primary email account.

We have a had a number of parent/carers request that we leave these resources on our website as they have found them very useful.

If you need specific support, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Announcement - March 2020

Due to the current decision made by the Government to safeguard all in light of the Coronavirus, Barnes Farm Infant School will be closed to most children from 3:15pm on Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice.

Whilst our immediate concern is the health and safety of children and their families, clearly the longer-term impact on the children’s education is a concern too.

We will be adding daily Home Learning Menus to this page (please see tabs to the left for your child's  year group) to enable parent/carers to support their children at home and have sent home ‘Home Learning’ packs for each child.  If your child has not received their pack, these will be available from the school office from 8:45am on Friday 20th March.  If you are unable to collect your child's pack, please telephone the school office and we will do our best to get it to you.

We have ensured that all of our children with special educational needs have received Home Learning packs tailored to meet their learning needs.

Those children who are more able and who are working at greater depth will be set daily challenge options in the Home Learning Menus.

We understand that this can be an anxious time for children and their families, and we will be working hard to support wherever possible.  If you do have any questions, you may phone our BFIS Wellbeing Line between 7am and 5pm on 07850 903896.

We will keep you updated with any further information as and when we receive it.
