Elizabeth Keeley
I have been a primary school teacher for 17 years, mainly in upper Key Stage 2, although more recently with teaching responsibilities in Reception and Year 1. For the last 6 years, I have been a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo). I am passionate about inclusion and supporting all pupils to achieve their best. As part of my role, I have studied to gain both the National Award for SEN Co-ordination and the Advanced SENCo award.
I have lived in Chelmer Village for 13 years. My daughter is currently in Year 3 at Barnes Farm Juniors and I also have a son, aged three, who is hoping to start at Barnes Farm Infants in September !
I have previously served on a governing body as a staff governor. I wanted to become a governor at Barnes Farm Infants to utilise some of the experience I had gained in this role, so I was delighted when the opportunity arose.
I enjoy working as part of a team and look forward to the challenges that the role will brings.
