Barnes Farm Infant School

Building Futures, Inspiring Success

Elizabeth Keeley

I have been a primary school teacher for 15 years, mainly in upper Key Stage 2, although more recently with teaching responsibilities in Reception and Year 1. For the last 4 years, I have been a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo). I am passionate about inclusion and supporting all pupils to achieve their best. As part of my role, I have studied to gain both the National Award for SEN Co-ordination and the Advanced SENCo award.

I have lived in Chelmer Village for 12 years. My daughter is currently in Year 2 here at Barnes Farm and I also have a son who is two and a half years old.

I have previously served on a governing body as a staff governor. I wanted to become a governor at Barnes Farm to utilise some of the experience I had gained in this role, so I was delighted when the opportunity arose.

I enjoy working as part of a team and I am looking forward to the challenges that this role will bring!
