Building Futures, Inspiring Success

Fox - EYFS

                                 Welcome to Fox class.

Thank you for a wonderful display evening. It was lovely to see so many faces and the children were very excited to share all their hard work.

Last week we had a meeting with Sam Sly.  We raised our concerns that we feel he is going to steal the sea creatures for his circus show. As a class we have concluded he is not going to negotiate and we must take it upon ourselves to prevent this from happening.

This week, the children will get a visit from Annie the Acrobat. She tells the group that she has seen appalling conditions at the circus. The animals are not fed or looked after very well. The cages are not cleaned and Sam shouts at them all the time. We then take a journey to the circus and explore what we can see around. We make notes in note books and then bring the evidence back to the group.

What will we do with the evidence that we now have?

Literacy:

We have been doing a lot more writing in class. We are learning spellings and writing more on our own using our sounds and key words. Keep reading Foxes!  We were the class with the most readers for a second week running!

Please continue to read at home five times a week with your child.  We will be recording who reads five times each week and the class with the most readers will win a book for the class library.

Your children will be continuing to change their own books in class. We will continue to read twice weekly with your child and learn the key words

Maths Update:
