Building Futures, Inspiring Success

Kate Sutton

I became a co-opted Governor in March 2017.

I have lived in Chelmsford for nearly 20 years and the majority of my career has been in the City.I worked in insurance and risk management for over 25 years and am a qualified risk manager. I have experience in corporate governance, strategy, finance and operational management from working with global companies and public sector organisations.

I want to apply my skills to somewhere that matters and that is why I jumped at the chance to become part of Barnes Farm Infants School. I know some of the pupils at the school and am grateful to have the opportunity to be part of the team.  I believe we have a moral responsibility to ensure a school gives any child the best possible education and supportive environment to allow them to thrive, develop and enjoy learning. The formative years spent at a first school have a huge influence on children, and the people they will become - not just academically, but socially and emotionally. I want to provide all the support I can to encourage our pupils to develop into the best they can be.
