New to Reception 2020 - Information for Parent/Carers
We would like to wish a warm welcome to all the new families that will be joining us in September 2020. We are very much looking forward to meeting you all.
Update - August 2020
It's nearly time for big school!!! We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all on Thursday 3rd September for the Stay and Play sessions.
We would like the children to wear their school uniform during these sessions. The aim of the sessions is to support the children's transition to school by allowing them to meet their teacher in a smaller group.
Stay and Play sessions will be 9:15am to 10:15am and 1:30pm to 2:30pm - you will have received an email to let you know what session your child should attend (please note: if your enrolment forms were returned after 17th July, we may not have you on parent/carer email communications list so please contact the school if you have not received information on your child's allocated session).
If your child has any medication that they will need to take regularly in school, please bring this with them to leave in school next Thursday and contact Mrs Robinson to arrange an Individual Care Plan.
We have added lots of transition information to your child's Tapestry journal. If you are having difficulties logging into your journal, please contact us and we will be happy to help.
From Monday the 7th of September, the arrangements will be as follows:
Monday 7th September: All children in Reception classes to attend 9:05am to 11:45am.
Tuesday 8th September: All children in Reception classes to stay for lunch and attend from 9:05am to until 1pm.
Wednesday 9th September: From this date, all children in Reception to attend every day from 9:05am to 3:25pm.
If you have any questions, please contact the Wellbeing phone on 07850 903896.
Update - June 2020
You will have recently received your enrolment form via email. Please complete this and return it to the school office as soon as possible. If you would like a paper copy, please contact the school office on 01245 467474 and they will arrange one for you to collect.
We will be updating this page regularly with any news and correspondence that you may find useful.
Due to the current Covid19 situation, we are carefully considering arrangements for September and will do our very best to make sure that your child's transition to school is as smooth as possible.
Our Early Years Leader, Mrs Bentham, will be working with local pre-schools and nurseries.
If your child has any medical or special education needs, please contact Mrs Robinson on 07850 903896 to discuss how we can support.
To help your child’s transition into school in September we will have a staggered timetable for the first week and we will advise you nearer the time if you child will attend in the morning or afternoon.
· Thursday 3rd September - am or pm session (not including lunch)
· Friday 4th September – am or pm session (including lunch)
If you do have any questions in the meantime, please email us at email@example.com or contact us on our Well-being phone line on 07850 903 896.
