Rabbit - EYFS

We found Goldilocks! She was hiding in a cave to escape the erupting volcanoes. She was a little shaken but very happy that the Reception children had come to rescue her. They even came up with the idea of creating a decoy Goldilocks robot to trick the dinosaurs, so they could get her back safely into the time machine. What an adventure! The children have been writing fantastic journals about the expedition. We enjoyed Science week, and the children were fascinated with all the wonderful experiments demonstrated by Mrs Hards. They also investigated why some balls are bouncier than others during PE, and tested out their thinking giving reasons.

Rabbit PE days are on a Monday and Thursday this term.

Phonics update:

This week we will be focusing on the sounds wh, ph, ew and oe.

Math update:

Reading:

Your children are continuing to change their own reading books in class. We will read twice weekly with your child and learn the key words. Once will be individual reading and one session will be in a small group.

Please continue to read at home and learn the word worm words. We will be checking reading records every Friday morning to see who has read 5 times at home.
