Rabbit Class - EYFS
This week the Rabbits have demonstrated their ability to learn and solve problems together as a team. We read the story 'How to Catch a Star.' The little boy in the story wants to catch a star. We have been asking ourselves if this is possible. If we are to help the boy what would we tell him to do?
We have designed trampolines, tall ladders and rockets to catch the stars.
Hopefully we will catch a star this week.
But once we have it how do we look after it? Is it possible to look after it and will it survive on earth? Are stars alive?
This week we are learning the sounds ck, e, u and r. We will be writing the sounds and using them to make simple words. We will be writing letters and sharing books with adults and our friends.
We will be writing in our Space Log Books and making sure that we are safe in space.
We will also be writing a list of ways to help the boy catch the star.
Congratulations to Sophie who has read more than 20 times at home. She is leading on our wall chart in class.
We are exploring numbers and asking questions about maths to deepen our understanding.
This week we are representing the number 20. We will be asking the question.
'Can we represent numbers in different ways?' Try this at home! How many ways can you represent the number 20 at home?
Our PE days are Tuesday AM and Wednesday PM.
Homework day is Friday and must be returned on the following Wednesday
Please read every night with your child. We have been sharing space stories in class. If you have any space books at home then please bring them in so we care share them together.
