At Barnes Farm Infant School, we recognise that the social and emotional development of children is nurtured both at home and in school, and is integral to children’s success.   

We pride ourselves on the social and emotional support that we are able to offer our children and their families.

We are proud to have recently achieved the Attachment Aware School Award.  

Attachment theory is focused on the relationships and bonds between people, particularly long-term relationships, including those between a parent and child. 

All staff in school have taken part in the training to ensure we are Attachment Aware to support our vulnerable children and families in the school.
