After our recent Parent/Carer Workshop about Behaviour, some parent/carers expressed that they were keen to find out more about how we support the children’s emotions in school using ‘The Zones of Regulation’.
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to all of our Parent/Carers that took the time to join us and gave us feedback on how 'The Zones' help them at home.
Please see below some of the feedback give by our Parents/Carers...
" Very informative session. Really useful to find out further information on the zones. This has had such a positive impact on my daughter's wellbeing".
" My son loves school. He comes ome everyday talking about the capes, zones and which colour he managed to achieve. The Zones of Regulation workshop was very informative and will help us at home to understand our son's feelings. Thank you".
" My son has mentioned the badgers and has even brought them home. he emotions 5 breaths a lot and traces the breaths on his fingers".
We introduced ‘The Zones' in February 2019 during ‘Children’s Mental Health Week’ after recognising that lots of our children needed support to identify and manage their emotions.
It has been extremely successful and is now embedded in the ethos of our school.
We recommend ‘The Zones’ to lots of parent/carers to help with managing emotions and behaviour at home.
Please find below the PowerPoint Presentation that was shared at the workshop.
